I have a 91 F150 extended cab xlt/lariat. I only have speakers in my doors. Is there any way whether factory or modifying to add speakers in the extended part of my cab with out taking out the fold down seat? Thanks for any help.
if you cant put speakers in the wall in the cab or ....
buy some 6x9 speaker boxes and slap some nice 6x9's in them and your
good to go
if you get the boxes.
You can just put them on the floor or mount them on something , you could
even just lay them on the sheet if you dont wana drill or .....
I have an '89 F150 Custom Reg cab and recently picked up a similar '92 for parts. The '92 had a better stereo and offered 4 speakers as opposed to the two in my '89. The plastic interior panels that cover the rear corners in the '92 cab were set up to hold speakers. They're not 6x9's, something smaller, (5x7's?). Anyhow, in my case, these panels from the '92 fit my '89 and even the color is the same. I would suggest scrounging a few bone yards to see if you can find these rear corner trim panels.
I don't know if this would pertain to an extended cab, but in my reg. cab, I had to unbolt the shoulder belts at both the top and bottom to replace the corner panels. The top bolts weren't a problem, but I sheared off the torx driver attempting one of the bottom bolts. Good luck.
