lol thats funny my '00 V6 aint turning on the heat and it was really chilly this morning. blew A/C the whole way to work with it turned all the way on red
If it's blowing cold air, then it sounds like the fan motor is OK. Sounds like the blend door is broken. With winter around the cornr, I finally performed the blend door fix last night. if I hadn't dropped a 1/4 rachet behind the plenm, I would have been done in 30 minutes.
I turn the switch on full or med blower motor woun't come on. I check the fuse good. Put a test light on the plug@ the motor light come on.Change motor still the same. How hard is it for to take the heater controls out of the dash to check got me puzzel .Thanks people any reply will be a help @ this point.
Check for these two additional items that may cause your blower motor not to work.
1. Ground is missing or has high resistance.
2. Power lead has high resistance.
I suggest leaving the motor plug connected, stick a straight pin thru wire insulation and check voltage on power lead. If less than 12 you have a high resistance somewhere in wiring path (most likely in the blower motor speed control resistor pack). Do the same for the ground lead checking the resistance to a good frame / body ground point.
If these two check out OK but blower motor still not working, replace blower motor again as you may have gotten a bad replacement.
