I have a parts '82 2WD (302 auto) and my '85 4X4 (300 4-speed). The drivers side leaf spring is broken on the 4X4, but not on the parts truck. Can I use it (at least for awhile)? I noticed in the parts books that the part # is different, but this would only be a temporary thing.
thanks,
Stan

Reason: spelling
I believe that the 4 WD trucks have 3 inch wide springs and the 2 WD trucks use 2 1/2 inch springs.
Try measuring them and making sure. If the springs are the same width, they would interchange even though they might have different spring load ratings.
