I have a 99 PSD and when the clutch pedal is depressed for a while or used repeatedly (like backing up to a trailer) the clutch disengages as if there is no clutch. If you release the pedal and wait a second or two and depress it again everything is fine. The more frequently the clutch is used the more problems, but give it a rest and it works perfectly. I have not noticed any slippage when pulling a load. The truck has 90K, I was told the slave cylinder is the problem. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Slave cylinder is going out. Pretty common on these trucks...
Spurrs, welcome to FTE. Yeah it sounds like a hydraulic problem to me too. You can purchase the complete hydraulic system for these trucks from Ford for around $100, they come prebled and ready to install. They don't even require any tools, the master cylinder is held onto a bracket off the firewall with push pins and the slave cylinder goes into a whole in the bellhousing twist about 45 degs. and it locks in place.
