i wonder if there is ever gonna be a ranger crew cab, instead of just extended cab, i mean they have the dodge dakota with quad cab, i sure would like to see some ranger crew cabs, or whatever name they will come up for it.. heh
Ford has been building one since 2001. It's called the Explorer Sport-Trac. Ford calls it an Explorer because they found people would pay more for an "Explorer" than a Ranger, but the Sport-Trac is nearly identical mechanically to a Ranger.
yeah thats true i meant to add that to my post, the sport trac would be considered a crew cab ranger i guess, hmmm.... i wonder if they will redo sport trac or anything sometime soon, even though it got poor rollover test in the most recent news.
if they did redo the sport trac they should redo the front like they did the ranger make it a little more manly looking, and make like an fx4 package or something
the sport trac is basically a woman version of an f-150, if they dont want the explorer heh. the new dodge dakotas kind of look nice, though still a little too short in the backseat area, but its a nice design in my opinion.
like with other things, ford does have a crewcab version of the ranger in other parts of the world. like you won't find a turbo-diesel ranger in the US, you won't find the crewcab unless you travel. i saw several turbo-diesel crewcab rangers in the philippines. otherwise, i guess the explorer sport trac is our option in the US.
