I just noticed a clicking sound coming from my front end at low speeds. It happens in forward and reverse. I believe it is there at high speeds also but, cannot be heard due to the wind. I am woried that it may be one of the front hubs, but not sure. The tires are pretty free of stones, which was my initial thought. 2002 4x4, 30k miles. Still under warranty, but I do have the mini-spring pack and 4" blocks. Any ideas on this one??
Does it change with a change in speed ?
then it is something to do with your rolling stock...
back in the day I would have said check your speedo cable too
My 02 had that same noise. It ended up being the front brake pads. The dealer installed updated pads that have a spring clip (for anti rattle) and the noise is gone.
If you are out of warranty and you did find the pads are the problem look into the aftermarket performance pads (I put them on after warranty). I put the Hawk pads on and they do not rattle. No more noises.
Good luck with your search, let us know what you find.
