8 plugs in the 4 banger is to reduce emissions. and could have a broken spring causing the lean. do an inspection of the suspention on the left side.

My 95 2.3L leans to the driver side, too. Will replacing that shock fix this, or do I need to replace the spring, or both? Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

A shock won't make it lean.

Ok

I read that they lean because they are rangers.

The lean is common on Rangers, you can switch the springs side to side, this helps sometimes or just replace them.
