Ok kwik, I will try swapping TPS sensors between our two trucks, (same year and such) Is it the one at the accelerator pedal? Still a little leary about this being the problem as it goes away when engine warms. If the TPS is in the cab, the engine temp really shouldnt have anything to do with it as they are independent from each other as far a temp goes, if i'm wrong and the tps in in the engine bay then this makes more sense. What about IDM, has their been problems related to this? It's in the engine bay right? Thanks again for all your help

Wow yeah if you have two identical trucks just start swapping parts until you nail it down.
The TPS is part of the entire accel pedal assembly. It's held down by three bolts. Just unplug the two electrical plugs and remove the three bolts that hold the thing down and you'll have it out in your hand. It's a one minute job if you know where to go.

What does this sound like to you all?

As I was driving, I engaged my cruise control using resume. As the truck accelarated, the truck "hiccupped" and kicked off the cruise control. My truck "hiccupped" again while on cruise, but did not kick the cruise control off. I noticed a slight decrease in RPM, but nothing exaggerated. Any comments would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks, Carson

does the speedometer read steady at highway speeds? A bad speed sensor shorts in wiring,or missing teeth on the sensor gear in the rearend will lead to speedo needle jumping around. This confuses the truck when the cruise is on sometimes kicking the cruise off. If the cruise doesn't kick off the truck trying to compensate for the erratic changes in speed (so it thinks) will feel like a hiccup.

RynL88, thanks for replying. The Speed sensor was replaced @ 120,000 miles. I have 146,500. I do not see any jumping on the speedometer.

well it was a thought, only other suggeston is the CPS may be beggining to go. When mine went it hiccupped once or twice then died. Would start and run for 5 minutes then the same, hiccup and die. until finally no start. Whole process happend in 15 minutes. Maybe this will help, does it only happen with the cruise on?

Don't know. I say 90% of the time, I'm on cruise. I'll try pedaling it today after work. Thanks,

Looks like it was the fuel filter. I went ahead and change the CPS as well. No problems since. Thanks.
