Nothing yet Utah! The more I drive it the more I believe somethiong is not right. It has gotten a little colder up here ith th great north and it really seems to be present. I definitely feel a jerkiness when I accelerate through the gears, not the shifting I'm talking the in between the shifts like its not getting enough gas accept it still accelerate fast just not very smoothly. Once she's warmed up it kina goes away. I think I'm going to drive it for a few thousand miles before I take it in. Going hunting in Manitoda in two weeks. That will be the first road trip.

Thanks for asking!!!!

It's not normal. Did they try to read any codes or just tell you "oh that's normal for a 6 oh"? Got anyone around with a Predator that can check you codes? Sounds strange to me...

They told me it was normal and that I was just used to my 7.3. Thats why I don't want to bring it in unless I know there is something wrong. I only have 1600 miles on her. When you have accelerated throught the gears and are driving down the highway it has gone away. Only happens when I accelerate through the gear from a stop. I live in the city so I have 5 or 6 stop signs to start with 10 or 15 minutes of driving and it feels just fine. The problem is I feel every morning and it is irritating as heck! ........No I don't have any one else other than the dealer to talk too or show the problem. i think I 'm going to drive it for a bit then take her back in. I just wish it was perfect because I absolutely love everything else about the truck. It turns alot of heads

Sounds to me like your VGT solenoid is sticky. Should be a straightforward diagnosis/fix (for a competent shop!) If my truck is stone cold [I mean the outside temps are below 40 also] and I really try to push it too hard right after starting it, I get a really faint version of what you're talking about. It's the variable turbo blades oscillating, trying to find the right position for the conditions. I think the faint version like mine is probably unavoidable given how it all works and that the PCM is only so fast (er, and the Ford software guys seem to have a hard time keeping things stable in general...), but it goes away after about a minute and doesn't make the truck jerk at all. It's just a warbling to the turbo whistle under hard acceleration. Yours definitely has a problem.

Frobozz,

It sounds like you may be on to some thing!!! That is what I feel!. Now not to sound like an ignoramous, but what does VGT stand for? I would like to understand it better. And how come a supposed competant dealer could not tell me tha was the problem. I'm kinda mad at my dealer because they act like they are so busy that they don't have time for me and unless it is blatently wrong they don't want to spend the time trying to find the problem. It really burns my tail off!!! I would like to find a new dealer but my options are very limited!
