I got out in a field yesterday and did some spinnning around in my '69 F-100. Had fun but noticed that only one tire was doing the spinning. How can I fix that? I've got a 9" rear end/3:25 gears.
Low dollar: pull one from a yard and hope it works and doesn't howl.
For all the work and the fact that these things lead tough lives leading to limited limited slip, I'd buy a reman'd unit.
Or, you can go Detroit Locker, a clunk and chirp unit but nice and strong.
If you are off road only in slippery stuff, you can have the spiders welded or go with a spool. (removes all diff action and will push you off the road in the right conditions....)
