Superchips
Does anyone know the lowdown on the so called Superchips for the newer P/U's. I just bought a 2001 Ford XLT 5.4 Triton Super Cab 4x4 Auto with OD and was wondering if it would be cost wise to put one in or if they are a lot of blow and no go. I have seen two different brands (Superchips Inc. and Hypertech) in a catalog, but haven't looked on ebay yet. They are talking about $370-$380 for price. Most of the use would be off hiway, with some trailer use on the hiway. Thanks for any info that you might give.

Although my truck isnt a 97-03, I might be able to help here. The Superchips is a great unit. I have an 04 F150 Scab, 4x4, auto. You can check out my reviews of the unit here. I would imagine the same info is applicable to your truck.

I bought a superchips 1715 microtuner for my 1999 F150 4.6 here at motorhaven.
