Hi-Perf Valve Covers?

What is the difference between a valve cover and a high performance valve cover? I know some are built better than others, some low profile, some painted ,some chrome etc. etc. but how can they be labeled as "high performance"? Just one of those things that I have wondered about.

Dude, you mean you dont have the +25 hp valve covers for your rig yet? They have them in most catalogs right after the high performance muffler bearings.

I knew that! It just bugs me to see all those ads for "hi-po" covers. Why don't they just say what it REALLY is.

I think what they REALLY mean is they're taller so you can make valve-train mods without worrying about clearance.
