Have a 91 Ranger 2WD 5 Speed with the 3.0 I bought last year at 77,000 miles. Always idled a little rough. Put on new cap and rotor, coil wire as the one on it was falling apart, IAC and lots of fuel injector cleaner.
So, I finally got around to looking at the PCV valve. I put on a new Purolator one and when you shake the valve, it rattles. I always thought that was normal. The old valve, which had Motorcraft on it, didn't make any noise, but at least on the outside didn't look dirty at all, yet also did not rattle.
Does the PCV have to rattle to be good? Haven't been able to tell if this really helped my idle or not.
Anyone know of aftermarket sway bars for the rear? This is a base XLT.
