XMSN Shift Problems

I have 90 II 4wd that recently has started to shift late. It does not go into 2nd until about 3800 rpms. All other shifts are about the same. Any Ideas?

XMSN Shift Problems

Your problem is that the automatic transmission that your truck has is not very good. I would suggest servicing it and flushing the fluid and if that doesn't help it is going to have to either be rebuilt or replaced. sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

XMSN Shift Problems

Thanks for the help--thru further research I determined it was the xmsn vacuum modulator. It runs good now. Also the modulator valve is very difficult to get to.
