Starting/electrical problems
ok guys, i have a 94 f350 4x4 351w, last night some buddies and me went out and when we went to leave my truck wouldn't start. the cab light was on until i tried to start the truck, then the light went out, and came back on by itself a little bit later, we were able to jump start the truck and i drove home. the lights weren't dim or anything like that, the battery light was coming on, but when i let off the gas it would go out and the harder i pushed the gas pedal the brighter the battery light would shine. when i got home i turned the truck off and tried to start it, but it would not start. i got this battery from wal-mart near the end of august. could this just be a bad battery? alternator? please help me

Should be.
I had my alternator go out on me a while back. Throw it on the battery charger and go drive, come back and leave it. If its dead when you get back, its probably the alternator. Take it up to a Napa, Autozone, etc and have the alt tester, as well as getting a new battery. This is why I like "good" batteries ^_^.

thanks for the quick responses, i took truck to o'reilly's, i pulled alternator and batter for testing, battery was good alternator was bad, i charged the battery and replaced the alternator, so we'll see, thanks again
