Red face Back/Headache Racks for SuperCrew

Hey all,

I want to buy a 'Back Rack' or headache rack. Not for the normal reasons of functionality or theft prevention though. I need to justify the purchasing of an 'Amber' LED Lightbar (The kind that you would see on a tow truck.) and having an unused back rack would be close enough to justification as I can get since I drive a F-150 SuperCrew (Not a work truck).

I have a toolbox so I can't get roll bars...

I hope that some one out there has pictures of a Back Rack/Headache Rack on an F-150 SuperCrew and would be willing to share... Any ideas?

Why do you need amber lights like a tow truck?

I dont need them that is the point of getting the BackRack... If I get the BackRack I need to put something on it... This is where the lights I want come in to play

Sorry, doesn't make sense to me. Can't you get in trouble for having those lights? Impersonating a police offficer, or some law like that?

I can put any color lights I want on my truck.

Amber = Hazards
Reds/Blue/White = Emergency (can be used if not facing or on public property)

you cant get in trouble for the amber lights, they signify hazards, construction, etc. the red and blues wouldnt be a problem as long as they are used while the truck is parked. (you just have to be carful with this some officers might not like it). if you are just wanting the amber strobes it might be cheaper to buy some "undercover" whelen amber strobes to put in the parking lights and tail lights, or you can do as i did and turn some blaser driving lights into strobes. the major question would be is why you actual need the amber strobes, is it for any purpose other then the look or just because you want them?
