I was just about to order one of the Dennis Carpenter kits for my '52, but your comment about shipping has me scared...is it like $50? $100?? Has anyone had good luck just having a local shop make the interior pieces? (Headliner, areas behind the seat, etc) I have the kick panels and nothing else at the moment...

I bought a 55 cardboard style headliner from Carpenter plus about a dozen items in the same order and it came Fed X with a shipping charge of $54 for the entire order. It, of course, doesn't weigh much and was semi-rolled in a big box.

Do you Have the remnants of the old one? What I did was went to the lumberyard bought a sheet of FRP Board layed the old pieces on the board cut them out drilled the holes and upolstered them did the hole thing for less than $100.00
As a matter of fact I removed my gas tank from inside the cab put my stereo stuff back there and filled in and upolstered all that too for the same money.
I wish I had the old pieces. I was thinking the same thing, But the kid that I bought it from said that it fell down and he tossed it in the nearest dumpster.
