High Boy Front Axle
Hi everyone, Ive tried searching the threads but i cant find the information im lookin for so heres a couple of questions for those who know. First, what are the weak parts in a closed knuckle D60 under the high boys? Second are they very strong and what other axle would they compare to in strength? And finaly, would they be good to use in a pulling truck in the stock class? Any information or opinion would be very helpful. Thanks

If it is actually a Dana 60 and not a Dana 44, those are very strong axles, used in the front of trucks as heavy as the current F550. If you have an F250 though, you probably have a Dana 44, except for the 'Snow Fighter' F250's that came with Dana 60's. The axle u-joints and outter stub shafts are probably the most likely parts to fail on either of those axles, besides the hubs.
