Some dodo tightened the lug nuts so tight, I can't budge them with a breaker bar.....or even a three foot pipe on the bar!
Thought maybe this might be the time to buy an electric impact wrench.
Don't want to invest in a hardly-ever used-compressor and hose.
Do electric ones work good?
I've Seen On Tv The Nascar Pit Guys Use Them In Shop I Think They Said They Could Change 50 Wheels With Them Before Recharging...sounds Like Might Be Exspensive Though...might Be A Good Tool To Have When Broke Down Somewhere Or I'n Your Shop...let Me Know If You Try It And How Much...
Take a dead blow hammer to the end breaker bar, it works the same as a impact wrench, only slower, I have gotten bolts loose this way that my impact couldn't even do.
ive used one befor it worked pretty good, but they cost about the same as a compresser, but if you were only going to use it rarely i would get one. Check the torque rateing. you will need one rated 250 ft lbs or better probably to get them loose. Might want to try a longer pipe with a good breaker bar and socket so if you break them you can get them replaced for free. Good Luck with it.
p.s. i had that same problem once took a 6 ft pipe on a 4way lug wrench along with another person to hold the wrench strait.
something else you can try is a pipe wrench if space will allow you to do so and you might also find a bigger guy to hang from the pipe you are using as a breacker bar
