I received an update from Charlie today, he said I need a new idler arm and he suggested I go with the MOOG brand, it will run me another $180, he also said I should have my truck back Monday afternoon.

Wow you already need an idler arm? Or do you need to change it because of the lift?

He said mine was bad and there was no way the the shop (UNRUH) could properly align my truck without a new one.

If that one is bad shouldn't it be a warranty item? Don't like the idea of one wearing out that fast and you have less miles then I do!!

I brought up the warranty issue also and he stated: "FORD" probably wouldn't honor it because of the lift.

If the truck was bought with a lift they would warranty it, but after putting a lift on it Ford doesnt cover it. I know a buddy has gone thru the same thing with them over this same thing!!

I dropped off my truck at Fat Boyz on Friday 9/17/04 and I was told it shouldn't be more than 3 or 4 days, it's now the 9/27/04 and today I was told I should have it back tomorrow.

I sure hope it is worth the wait.

Oh it will be well worth the wait, But WOW!!!!! 10 days to do it, That's just nuts. I have been hearing more and more bad stuff about them in the last month or so. Wander what's going on over there.

Something is going on. They treated Duane like crap and all he was doing was trying to get their name out more.

Yeah I'm not real sure what the deal is but I hope he gets things figured out. I know he lost a mechanic and he is doing it all himself but then he shouldn't have made that kind of commitment. I offered to help him out on the weekends and stuff but he said he wasn't sure of my "qualifications"! Not trying toot my own horn but I'm an ASE master tech and that was just an insult!!! But on the upside Ken, he does do good work so when you finally get it back it will be right.
