Anyone using the Viper 791xv remote start/alarm? It seems to look pretty good on the white papers.
I'm not too sure about installing it myself. Not that I can't, but have to pull the dash and doors apart but the cost sure makes me want to try. ($160 for unit or $599 for unit and install ).
Sorry no suggestions about install, but I had it installed on mine. Can tell you it took tech over 4 hrs. Sure is nice to start from house when cold. Only thing I'm not impressed about is distance remote works well from .
Be careful with the self install of any DEI alarms, they don't warranty products that are not sold and installed by an authorized dealer. On the bright side, I've installed 3 of their alarms over the past ten years and not one of them has had a problem. As for advice on installation. If you've never done a DEI alarm install before have it done by an authorized DEI dealer. I worked part-time as a DEI installer in Fayetteville, N.C. back in the early '90's while I was in Army. I say take it to an authorized dealer not to doubt your abilities, but because these PSD's are so heavily ladened with electronics that even putting a probe in the wrong spot could fry the ECM or other very expensive part. At least if you go to an authorized dealer and they fry it you'll have someone to go after.
