It's the orange/yellow/gold---not the green stuff
VW uses pink (corrosive with anything else)
BMW is blue.
I saw universal mix in autozone that was supposed to go both ways

Open mouth insert foot--after I read what I wrote I went--OH DUH, BLONDE!!
I meant those were the 4 kinds of antifreeze we ever used--green, yellow, pink or blue---didn't mean that all we ever used was the universal. I hadn't seen that til I came down here.

I'm due for the 30k coolant flush...
Can I drain and fill it (is this something I can do... )

Actually, I was surprised how cheap the coolant was from the dealer - it wasn't all jacked up like their filter prices! I think I paid around $8 a gallon. And there's a Zerex equivalent you can buy at your parts store if even that's too much for you. (I had a little "oops" when I was removing my defective lower radiator hose clamp to put a real one on there, so I needed a couple of gallons of the stuff...)
