Anyone know how the Ford nameplate comes off. It feels like it has a couple of speed nuts. I don't want to take the whole grille off. I bought a tubular grille and a Sterling emblem as mentioned in another thread. It looks inter- changeable with the Ford emblem.
dont know... but real easy to take the grill off to see...
five screws on the top lip... and 4 or 5 "C" clips on the bottom....
what I did was take 4 of the 5 screws out...
loosen the last one on the left to work as a pivot point and not let it fall while working on bottom...
push a wide, long flat blade into each clip on the bottom (one at a time )
twist it a bit while pulling out on the bottom...
(starting on the right side since I'm right handed)
and it will slide out...
be careful - the girll is fiberglass and will scratch (on mine)
when putting grill back on... pull clips off the truck and put on grill and once lined up, they pop right in...
good luck !
while you're in there - replace the weak fog lamps with 9005 65 watt to get you some LIGHT

i have a 2004 eddie bauer. the emblem on my grill snaps in from the front. it will pop out, but you would need to be careful not to break the plastic tabs. i would suggest taking the grill off the truck before trying to remove.
When you take the grill off to remove the emblem, use a hair dryer to warm up (soften) the tabs on the emblem. This will keep them from being so brittle and breaking. Also, my experience installing the Hellwig was that it is FAR easier with 2 people. Tried it alone.....not a good time.
