Kemicalburns--you are right--tag says its 8.8 with 3.55 gears if I'm reading it right--don't know why I had it my head that it was a Dana rearend--may have been thinking about a friend of mines truck that I helped with the pinion seal on once.
Been a while since I looked inside, but I'm almost sure I remember that it had the LS "spider gears" and c-clips just like a chevy rear.
Once I get the motor purring, I'll dig into the rear. Look for more questions later on from me on that. Thanks-M04

will do. my 8.8 gave out on me 200 miles from home. i got lucky and found a fellow fsbr in that town that hooked me up with a 9" to swap in. when we pulled the 8.8 cover the spider gears looked like hammered ***** . the r&p was fine though.
