MAF screen mod
box unit. I have seen posts on the Corvetteforum.com site where guys have removed the MAF screen to pick up some free ponies. The theory is that it helps the air flow. Some claim to pickup 8 rwhp.
I have drilled extra holes in the bottom half of the air box to help free air flow and also use a K&N air filter. I don't feel a big seat of the pants difference, but the van is more responsive and has better pick up.
I am wondering if anyone has tried the MAF screen removal on their Aerostar? I don't expect the increase that you would have on a Corvette (8 rwhp) but any gain in HP would be nice to have on these vans.
