If anyone out there has bought or is thinking of buying a 250 with the 5.4L I'd love to hear about how it handles and how it tows. I'm hearing 8k+ and others are saying less. Thanks in advance for sharing any new news!

Moved to proper forum. General Automotive is not for topics covered in the regular forums.

For what it's worth, I've test-driven it and you REALLY feel the difference over the old 5.4. I think it's much better suited for towing than the old 5.4, but I'd still go with the bigger motors if you're towing 100% of the time, or towing anything really heavy. It's rated to tow between 9000-12000 lbs., depending on body style and rear axle ratio.

Thanks Jeff! That sounds just fine in range for towing for what I plan on using for at any given time. I prob wouldn't need more than 8k capacity but I don't want to look at a truck that would be strained to tow it either. I really have to check 'em out now
