85' 300ci MPG

i have been getting constantly 13-14 mpg with 3.55's and 31's is that about normal for a 4x4 with a 4spd with granny?

Just curious, but how many RPM do you turn at 60 MPH?

mostly back roads and 3 miles on the highway a day to school
around 2300 at 60 and about 2700 at 70 according to the RPM calculator i usually cruise at about 65-70 and i have no overdrive

Same set up with OD tranny and I get a little better. 19 or 20 once methinks.

300 in line 6 4x4 with granny

I have a 1981 F150 4x4 with the 4spd granny. Often take it on the Ohio turnpike. At 65 mph I am pushing 3000 rpm. I consistantly get 14 to 15 on this open road trip. As far as local driving, I have never checked.

fuel mileage

I get 13-14 mpg around town and 19-20 on the hiway, I'm running stock tires with 3.55 gears, 4x2, and overdrive M5OD tranny. The hiway mileage is at 75mph, RPMs are around 2500.

Its a 88 F150 with EFI and 108,000 miles on her.
