Hello,
This is my first post to the forum and I am new to all of this. My dad just purchased a 1997 Turbo Diesel and this is our first diesel experience. He mentioned to me today that he has lost all electrical power. Is this a common problem, and if so what are the common fixes for it? I know electrical issues are never easy, but any tips you may have would be great.
I should have noted in my previous email that he has tried the obvious things such as checking lights left on, and trying to jumpstart the vehicle. Even with another vehicle hooked up, he has nothing. Seems like a short to me. Are there any particular places on this motor that are prone to wiggling loose and shorting out?
look for a main fuse somewhere if it where a direct short somthing would be melted if a fuse didnt blow maybe open circuit in one of the battery cables or power supply wire to main fuse panel
