Has Ford increased the fuel filler on the newer SD diesels? It's a pain to fill my 95 at truck stops. Not that it would change my mind about ordering my 05 next week (forgot to look when perusing the dealer's stock) but it sure would be more convenient.

Hey Bubba,
The PSD filler necks are now 20 gal/min!! That's awesome.. I don't have a problem at truck stops with mine. Best of Luck with the 05', if you get the 6.0 come and join the rest of us 6-oh! owners.
Best of Luck,
Corey
*Parts Changers*
FYI, when you take your 6.0 in for service, be it an oil change or just an air filter. REQUEST!! and be VERY firm about the fact you want NO ONE expect a disel tech or a diesel maintenance tech working on it. Oil Changers at dealers have been known to overfill the 6.0 and cause foaming. HUGE PROBLEMS RESULT!!!
Thanks for the info. Usually do oil changes and filters myself. Gives me a chance to look things over although the 6.0 with all its plumbing and wiring is a tight fit and difficult to see anything. When I do take mine in for service (tranny and cooling flushes, brakes, etc) the diesel tech treats me like family and I'm only charged for parts. He damn well better since he spent the first 20 of his 34 years under my roof.
my 2003 F250 7.3 can use the larger fuel hose to fill,, problem is that the vent pipe sticks down into the top of the tank several inches and then the last 4 gallons has to be hand fed (at a slow rate) to really top off,,
many do a mod called harpooning the tank,, they drop the tank and go in and cut off the vent pipe to be flush with the top of the tank,,
hope Ford took care of this issue on the 05s,, have a F350 KR on order,,
