I have a 90 F-150 we just swapped out to a solid axle.
Problem is we can not find any drag links that will work.
Just want to know if anyone on here knows of a drag link that may work and be 34"-35" from Joint to Joint.
So far all I am comming up with is the trail proof Deal from Performance accesorys and its a bit out of my budget at this time plus it take 4 weeks to get and we need to move this truck ASAP.
Someone said a 66-77 Early Bronco will work anyone have an early bronco that could messure the link to see if its the right lenght?
how about a F350 steering linkage set up? Its dark now but I can check what the length of mine is. If I were you I would just cut and reweld it whatever length you need.
I dont know if i would cut and reweld but the 350 link setup sounds viable otherwise check a 79, i have heard of a few guys cheating and using 79 parts on late model trucks and find that they work
What did the solid axle come out of? Try a 77 f-150. They're basiclly upside down versions of the 78-79's. If a cut & weld is done properly ( aka Professionally) it'll be fine. I work in a machine shop & have remachined welded up steel mill equipment & as long as the right rod/wire was used for the right material the repair is permanent & flawless. But, I wouldn't recomend welding up steering linkage at the neighbors barn.

Not totaly sure what it came out of a bronco or an f-150 we were told it was a 79 F150 but all the #s on the axle say late 78 :/ What we got was all the arms track bar and breaks We ended up using only the track bar bracket an got an ajustable (superlift) track bar to make it reach where we need it. We also moved the axle forward about 1.5" so we would have more room between the fender and tires. I dont know any one with enough welder exsperince to due the cut and weld. I am going to try the 88 f-350 rod someone on here recomened. If I could find some place to get the lengths on things I could easly find something that would work.
Thanks for your info
