Flywheel Crack/vibration
My 64 F100 4x4 has developed a vibration this past couple of months. It has a 5 liter c6 and transfer from a 85 Bronco fitted into it. I thought maybe it was my front tires being worn in the front as it vibrates at higher speeds. Can anyone describe what the vibration from a cracked flywheep is like? I noticed that it vibrates when I punch it at low speeds also. When you let up the vibration goes away.

A cracked flywheel will not usually vibrate. It will make noise, though, kind of like a lower-end noise. One thing I've come across on the 5.0 liter that's common on Mustangs is the outer ring on the harmonic balancer slipping out of balance. Put a timing light on it and see if the timing marks are where they should be. Also visually inspect the balancer, the outer ring will usually slip rearward toward the timing cover/oil pan.
