I have a '91 Bronco XLT with a 302. I was just wondering what the fuel tank capacity was. When i bought it, the previous owner did not have the Ford owner's manual with it. I have looked many places for it, and can't seem to find it. I saw replacement tanks at whitney, but they were 33 gal!!!! Not really, lmportant just wondering. I could run it to empty, and then fill it up, but I don't make that kinda money. HAHAH
I have a 90 302 and I can tell you for a fact you have a 33 gal tank. I just had to replace mine last week. You can find some larger capacity tanks but it will take some modification on your rig to fit it but stock is definately 33 gallon. Hope this helps...
I believe that the stock tanks were 17 gal. I am not sure but I have heard of an optional 25 gal tank as well. Just run her down to almost empty and then fill er up. That will tell you.
WOw maybe I got the oddball one then. I would fill mine with about $20 to $25. ANd only get about 200 miles to the gallon. I ran it down til the needle was on empty and it filled just shy of 17 gallons. 85 XLT
My bronco isn't a daily driver so I don't remember how many miles per tank but I filled up about a month ago it took about $48 the needle was close to the red...gas price was around $1.78 at the time so it took about 27gallons

I just bought by 92 Bronco this weekend. It was close to E so I stopped by and put twenty bucks in her on my way home. It was deffinitley a little disheartining to see that only put her around half a tank.. but hey, its well worth it
What's even more disheartening..is from E 20 bucks only gets me half way to half a tank...I now use my 1/4 tank mark..as considered "full"..for one or two days..
