98' ranger 02 sensor?
ok, my 2.5L ranger keeps suddenly losing power, but if you give it a second or two it will come back kinda snappy. I step on the gas sometimes and i go nowhere, then BAM! its all there again. I took it to autozone and they said 02 sensor, but it doesnt do it all the time. And the check engine light comes on as randomly as the engine acts up, but no real relation there. Anybody know anything about this?

The O2 sensor after the cat basically tells you if your cat is going bad or not. The one in your exhaust manifold tells the computer how much fuel is actually being burnt and richens/leans the mixture as needed.
