Hello
I am looking into the KYB gas shocks for my ranchero. For the front i am using crown victoria police interceptor shocks that are the exact fit as a 72-79 ranchero (lucky me!). For the back, my friend has some shocks that he can adjust with air like a valve stem for the tires. He said they are kyb, but doesn't know which brand. I would think that it is the Gas-A-Just by the name, but in the pictures i see no vavle. The GR-2 looks closer, but im not sure. All im really looking for is which shocks can change my ride height (back a little more up). Thanks!
Danny
The KYB gas-adusts don't actually have an ajustment, it's just the model name of the shock. The ones your friend has are probably "sky-jackers" or a similar air adjustable. These were popular in the 70s to raise the rear of a car and give it a sporty look. Problem is most of them are pretty poor quality and don't have good dampening characteristics, but they can help a sagging rear end.
