Aerostar auto trans

I have three Aerostars with auto tranny's, an 89, 92 and a 95 (3.0,3.0, and 4.0). On the mfg. label on the left door post the designation of transmission type is "T". My question is do all three vehicles have the exact same auto trans. or did Ford update the trans. and leave the code the same?

According to Chilton's the "T" stands for 4-speed automatic transmission. Chilton's also says, "All Aerostar's 1986 to 1996 used either the A4LD, 4R44E, or 4R55E four speed overdrive transmission."
