2000 spittin and a sputtering
I just talked to the shop - apparently the problem was the ECT. It is gonna cost me $400 to have a $50 part installed... Booo!!
This has got me thinking. Do the people on this board think that it is a good idea to bring a vehicle to the dealership for diagnostic work? This is asked under the assumption that they will be more familiar with the vehicle and will require less diagnostic time. And after they have solved the problem, source out the repair work...
Also, in this situation, I would have been better off telling the shop to clean the IAC and repair the ECT instead of going through this lengthy, and expensive, diagnostic process....
just some ramblings.
Thanks to everyone on this board who helped out in this thread, and in the other thread I started regarding the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Fantastic advice all around. Keep it up!
Jon
