No not me, I just bought a 93 Bronco from a man who had bought it for his teenage daughter. He said she all of a sudden lost intrest in it and wanted a small car. Well they liked in town so I could check the 4x4 but he said it worked fine, probably as far as he knew. Well I got it home and locked in the hubs and put it into four low and went down a hill at my place and could get back up. I got under it and with the hubs unlocked the shaft out the front turns freely in 4 high or low. I unlocked the hubs to check it. I have never been in a transfer case. What is it most likly? Chain, fork? Also I have a viberation at 55 and over. I just thought it was the big tires at first still does it with 235s as well. Thank you for any help .
Not sure what you are saying here bud. You went down a hill and then drove back up it. Was it a grassy hill, dirty, sandy, muddy, or pavement? If you were on pavement then how do you know that the frontend was engaged?
Is there a light on the dash that comes on or flashes at you when you put it in 4hi or 4lo?
I think what he's saying is that he bought the truck in town and couldn't check out the 4x4 there, but he lives "not in town" so I'm going to assume that the hill he tried to climb was dirt or grass or something other than pavement.

your '93 probably didn't come from the factory with locking hubs. it wasn't an option on the auto t-cases, and tehre weren't as many manuals in '93 as in previous years. That being said, do you have a manual t-case? manual tranny? engine? give us some more info and we'll help diagnose
It seems that the girl that had this bronco must of driven it in 4 wheel drive on the tar in town, is my guess . The alum bracket for the shifter is broken so I crawled under the bronco and put the transfer case in gear when I got it home and yes the light came on and yes I locked the hubs in. When I tried to come back up the hill I always come up with my 4x4 Dodge I couldn't I had to go out the along the river to the road. I then unlocked the hubs and found that I can turn the shaft going to the front ax with the transfer in gear. So, I didn't know if she might of driven it in 4 wheel on tar and tore up transfer case. Her dad said she all of a sudden wanted to sell it in a hurry and buy a small car. He said he had tried to talk her into it instead of the bronco but she though she had to have the bronco. He said the 4x4 worked fine, and as I said I couldn't try it in town. It also has a bad viberation around 55 and over. I changed the tires but read somewhere here that a bad transfer, even out of gear will cause viberation. It also needs a clutch slave cylinder, which I knew before I bought the truck. Thanks
