The shop manuals don't have a real wiring diagram. Not like modern truck shop manuals. It just has diagrams for the various electrical subsystems (lights, charging, starting, accessories). If you're still looking, send me a private message and I can snap some pictures from the shop manual and send them to you.

I have a shop manual and the more I read and study it I've learned what you've said. Everything should be there...just piece it all together.
I'll post again if something doesn't make sense (to me anyway).
