I more or less expected the switch and wiring to be inadequate. Part of the install was to wire in two driving lamp relays. The only thing the switch does now is activate the relays. Also if you want the headlights to perform at their best you need to supply them with full voltage. All of the wiring is 10 ga and goes from the battery, to the relay, to the headlights. No measurable voltage drop.
Ya know I seem to remember that there was something wrong with the relay in the "whiter whites" tech article. Something about the way it was wired in or the connection labels, can't remember exactly.

The wiring was right, everything went OK with mine anyway. I purposely wired the dims to stay on with the brights. That was in the tech article also.
