Hi there
I am a new member to the Web site.
I have a 1997 Explorer Eddie Bauer with 110K miles and I like to share a problem I have with my overdrive set up. The car shows the Off/Overdrive light (blinks)
and it rides rought. I can not bring it back to normal driving condition (to ovedrive). I have pushed the *** many times and the only difference is the RPM drops down, when I push the ***, but the car still drives rought and it waste gas a lot. Any suggestions, or is this one for the Dealer?

Thanks.

trans drive sensor

Check with an OBD II and see if a code shows. I had this same problem on my truck. Check the wiring hook up to your trans. Remove it clean it and replace. This stopped my blinking lite problem.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the reply.

What do you use the clean the terminals? Can I use brake cleaner in a spray can to desolve any oil or grease? I was also thinking that it could be due to the milage. Some cars have a reset bottom that resets some of the maintenance lights, and mechanics reset those after they perform some of the scheduled maintenance.
