I have a 97 Expedition which only came with 2 rows of seats. Any ideas on how to put a 3rd row seat in? There are not holes in the carpet to reveal any anchor posts for a 3rd row seat.
I think I answered this same question on another site.
Re: 1997 Expedition Question
I had a 97 Expy which had no rear third seat and you can't add it if the tracks or holders in the floor aren't there.
There was a time that the third seat was an factory option. When you look in the rear cargo area you should see 4 places/brackets built into the floor pan for the seat to mount and lock in. If not, you can't add the factory seat.
There was a third party add-on seat that faced rearward but I don't know if it's still around.
there have been many threads regaurding this subject, you really should do a search
as stated, if yours didn't come originaly equipt with third row seating, you are pretty much out of luck except for those "after-market" strapdown kid seats
