Does anybody have the Ford part number for the fuel selctor valve used on 1989 ford trucks with dual tanks. The reason I ask I have found away to get a pretty good discount on Ford OEM parts if I have the part number. They have set up some parts distrbution centers and you can walk in off the street and buy.
To get a ford oem part number you'll have to call a local ford's parts department. You can call a couple of ford dealers if you want to double check on the part number. I just install one on my 87 and i could not find a ford oem number on the internet. Don't use an aftermarket part, it comes with a electical connection which your's doesn't have. While you call the dealer ask if you can get the part at the net price, i paid 65.00. Check to see if they have a warranty. Also check Ebay sometimes i get lucky. Good Luck let us know if you need tips on installing it.
The part number is F1UZ-9B263-B This is for the passive valve (the one that uses the in tank fuel pump pressure to switch) The dealer wanted $97.00 for it found it on the web from a Ford dealer in Sherman Texas for $59.00 plus $5.00 for shipping.
