first time lifting a vehicle

i'm looking at lifting my f250 for the first time, and i've never done it on any other vehicle. i'm looking at getting a 2.5" lift and have a question: the front suspension has the reverse type leaf springs in the front, but the i believe that the kit from tuff country comes with leaf packs that you simply add to your existing lift, so how will that work. also, the front is noticeably lower than the front, will a lift kit lift the front and back the same so that it remains uneven? do i need to get a lift kit, then a leveling kit? thanks for any help.

That kit from tuff country comes with a good set of instructions. The only thing I did different was to compleatly drop the front axle so I could drill out the pivot bracket holes easier. You will need a 9/16 drill bit.
This kit is disigned to level out your truck, 2.5 up front 1.5 rear lift.
Good luck,

The front comes with new leaf packs that just replaces the original its only the rear that comes with an add-a-leaf is actually a really easy to do. but i think you should go up to a 4" lift

On my kit the front spring packs were added to the factory springs, which rearched them slightly. Most of the height came from the thickness of the add on spring pack.
Plenty of room for 35 '' tires but 33s still look good.

The bracketry on the 2.5" Tuff Country lifts are quite stout, I have one on my 150. However, the eccentric alignment bolts are weak and the cams strip out. Think, you went from an 10.8 rated bolt down to a grade 5 9/16" bolt that has 1/3 milled away. I ended up doing the alignment with the standard ball joint bushings and machining some custom .500" thick hardned steel washers to fit between the lands were the eccentrics would have rode. Have fun.

When you start to adjust your camber make sure your tires are off the ground or sitting on movable alignment plates. Or you will strip the cams.
I believe these same bolts and cams are used on several 97 and up vehicles.
Thats what the alignment guy told me.
