Where to mount sender

Hi all thanks for the help,
I have a 2004 F-350 6.0L with tourqe shift auto.

I have a autometer trans temp gauge. And am wondering where is the best spot to mount the sender. I tow a 4500lb trailer every day for my work. And I know the stock gauge in the dash won't show anything until it is already hot.

Thanks all

It has a stock tranny temp gauge? If so that's cool! If that is the case, I don't see a reason to put in another... Does the stock one not work?

In any case, I checked into this a while back. There is alot of discussion as to where to put the trans temp sender. Some say to put in in-line in the outgoing coolant line right after the tranny, others say to put it in the test port, and others say to drill and weld a boss in the pan and put the sender there. No one seems to have the best answer but everyone seems to feel that their way works good for them....
