computer does not seem to be advancing timing when accelerating.
does anyone know which sensor to test for this and how?
Maf sensor is new as are plugs, wires, rotor and cap.
any help is appreciated.
I should also mention timing is at 10 degrees btc.
95 e350, 5.8, runs great at low speed, but at half throttle it falls flat, but when throttle is pushed to the floor it responds normally.
If i advance timing to 15-18 degrees btc, it runs great. Is there a sensor or module i should be testing??
Test your TPS. The procedure is detailed in a Haynes manual. Also get a timing light and run a KOER test. When the codes stop blinking out, the timing is advanced 20 degrees by the computer, so you can check to see if the computer is advancing the time.
