Try searching through the Computer chips and Tuners Forum - I'm sure you'll find some help there. Of course, you'll have to specify which "programmer" you're thinking of, because I believe some do and some don't (void the warranty).

They could void the warranty as it applies to the motor or tranny. Ford has been increasingly pushing back on claims for trucks with chips in them.
Of course they couldn't deny a claim for a squeaky door or some unrelated thing.
Most of the tuners don't leave traces when they set the tune back to stock so the dealer and Ford should not even know that you had a non-factory program running.
This is true at least for the Superchips Microtuner for the 6.0 l diesel.

but no, the predator will not leave any traces but it does have the ability to read and clear codes... among other things...
AND the predator allows on line updates over the web when new free versions come out...

Do grab a POT of joe and read the "sticky" threads at the top of the 6.0 forum regarding the scmt and predator - suggest you start at the bottom to see the latest
either will awaken the beast asleep in your 6.0, but both have differing features...
please do watch the hp claims of some - look in their gallery to see if they have a dyno plot to back them up (like mine
) not typed charts ... many have reported improved mpg in the 1 to ?? mpg depending on the bs content
... and at worst the same mpg because they now "play" too much with the tremendous hp increases....god luck... but get SOMETHING soon _ they're too much fun !!!!
