OK I have it all toaren apart and am getting everything sanded cleaned, sealed and ready to start putting it back togather. Now I find I need to replace every dam gromit, rubber, seal insulator material, and hood springs and rubber stops. Mirrors and window seals.
Any help on where i can find these items at a decent price, Hell the prices I am getting are like I am buying rear gold coins. The seals are mor then the truck cost and that isn't even for everything, just the doors and windows.
If you know a source, PLEASE PLEASE let me know. Ptmmm2
Not sure what year truck you have. The soft parts are always expensive. At one time, I understood the process had a high reject rate (as much as 80%) and you were actually paying for your part and the ones they couldn't sell. Not that that will make you feel any better. And not sure it is even true anymore.
The initial cost of the truck will barely matter in the total cost. If you have your truck totally disassembled, it is likely the restoration will cost many times as much as the truck. Sorry I don't have cheerful news, but if you need all the soft parts for the entire truck, it will cost many hundreds of dollars. Where have you checked prices so far? This website has some of the parts if you click on the Parts Shop icon in the upper right of screen.
