I don't think I've seen a thread asking what gas station you prefer, at least not recently so here it goes!
I used to not really care, but now that I have a Mobile Speedpass, I get everything at the Mobile station. Damn that Speedpass is nice. Just drive up, slam my keys on the pump, then pump my gas. Done. And you can even use it inside for road trip goodies!
I use Wally World gas whenever it is available, as it is usually the most economical (w/3cent discount). I've never had any "gas related" problems using this gas, so I'll continue to use it. If I was running a "High performance" engine, I might have to reconsider, but for now it works for me.
I used to like Mobil when I had a speedpass, but I have been going to Sunoco pretty much exclusively for the past few years. I havent noticed any adverse effects like scottie mentioned. In fact, I have found Sunoco to be the best gas around. I buy my gas on thursdays, because they offer Ultra93 at ten cents off. That brings it down to the price of mid grade. I can deal with that .
In reverse order...Texaco/Exxon-Mobil/Shell/Chevron. Anything else, My truck knocks. The one fuel, inwhich no knocking has occurred......Chevron, 89 octane.
My wife uses wallyworld...almost exclusively. So when I drive it, I make sure I fill it up with something full of 'fiber'.
