Black,

Man...talk about a scary scenario!!! Imagine how you'd have felt if you'd been driving this with 140k lbs worth of bottle rocket (minus the stick) in your trailer, trying to haul it down to a stop:

When I was driving that rig...(loaded), a civilian tractor/trailer flew around me (I as going 50-52 mph) and proceeded to pull over in front of me before he cleared the front of my tractor...my rear-end was suckin' vinyl...to be sure!

My mistake - the missle only weighs 73k - 78k lbs (minuteman II or Minuteman III).

I dont care if we are going faster or slower than the so called "speed limit",
.I dont like people driving right next to me....!!!!!

some drivers just cant seem to be able to go down the highway without being next to someone..... .drive by yourself...and away from me....!!!!

there seems to be more idiots on cell phones that attempt to drive in the fast left lane,....and they focus on the car in front to pace themselves....

so, an occasional parking brake skid without tail lights seems to make them wake up....

..just stay away from me and my truck.....!!!!

BIG rigs / combinations that run in the right lane are just about the safest things on the road.....

untill some idiot pulls in front going SLOWER than what is needed....

then everyone behind and in adjacent lanes wonders why, they slow down, hit the brakes, because the trucks are doing this too, and then no one passes anyone....

it blocks the FLOW....

ok here's my take on evry thingway back when i drove for a company they had trucks set at 68mph so you allwaysrun it rite up to the computer all the time so you could get somewhere.after afew years i bought my own(5 total now)and found that with no govener youll run a lil faster in the sticks and slower in metro area as far as the uphill thing go's if these companys would put the big horse under the hoods they could pull a hilland get better mpg's and they need to up there speed setin to atleast 70.i know ill never have a computer controld truck in my fleet.heck the newest one i got is an 85 freighliner/w3406b pumped, timed 13dblover w/3:55's but i dont let none of the guys drive this just me she's a ticket geter

Im in my 3rd week of CDL school, and I will say that I have learned a lot that I never knew, and then some. It's truely amazing what you have to know to become a safe truck driver. Most of it is common sense, but their is quite a bit of knowledge that most people dont have.

Just backing these beasts is a feat, but Im getting better

I just think that from what I know now, it would be best for people that go for their passenger vehicle license, get taught some basics on road safety(Rigs).

We already have enough idiots on the road that can't handle their 4 ,6,10, & 18 wheels.

And now you want more that think they are superior then the law driving larger more complex vehicles?

Theres a difference in acting superior, and knowing what you are doing.

It's up to them to figure this out.
