Hey guys,
I just wrote a long post, and somehow it got screwed up, so i'll make this short and sweet. What parts do i need to change on my truck if I want to go around doing things like offroading, whirling round corners(for a truck), and hitting bumps in general at high speeds? My truck has stood up well so far, but i got the money right now, so i'd like to go the extra mile and step it up a notch. Oh and by the way, might be important, it's an '85 F250 with a 460 in it. Thanks guys.
-Jason
P.S. I'm not looking for high preformance here... just the basics so that my truck won't break in half next time i'm out drivin with my friends.

Your suspension in important, driveline and enough clearance to get through any off road dips and underbrush, a belly pan is also important to protect the oil pan and other tierods.(Snap if you go too fast in a rut) Drivelines like to bust into when you got a lot of power and too soft of rubber to dig in....Remember that its not a 4X4 and be sure to get a winch to pull yourself out of deep holes. Weight is also a concern when you in a rut and the water is deep and coming in through the bottom....mud and snakes...with no gas mileage is rough when gas is almost $2.00 a gallon. Mud tires is another factor to worry about when you get a flat an the bumper is too tall for the jack to raise the wheels to change...not to mention, wheres the spare anyway? Been there done that. Hope I didn't spoil your fun.
Naw, you didn't spoil my fun. Getting broke down is cool if you are with your buddies and one of you has a cell phone, especially if you did it doing something really stupid. (been there... done that...good times... ) Thanks for the info. Problem still being that i don't know exactly what suspension parts to buy or what brand if anyone has suggestions on reasonable kits or something, also what kind of tires to use (i like driving on roads too). Thanks a load...
